definition: software that allows users to perform maintenance

1. file compression tools

  function: reduce the size of a file 

  eg:  # Winzip

         # PKZIP

2. antivirus program

    function: protects a computer against viruses

    eg:  # avira antivirus

3. spyware remover

   function: detects and deletes spyware, adware and other similar programs.

4. disk defragmenter

    function:  reorganizes files and unused space on a hard disk so that operating system access data menu

5. backup and restore
